Yorkton Key Ceremony 2025
A Celebration of Homeownership and Community
On Monday, March 10, 2025, Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan’s Yorkton Chapter marked a major milestone—the completion of its 10th home. This achievement was celebrated with a Key Ceremony where volunteers, community supporters, and Habitat Saskatchewan staff gathered to welcome Alexis and her family into their new home.
Receiving the keys to her new house was a huge milestone moment for and her family. This home opens doors to stability, security, and a future filled with opportunity. For Alexis and her children, this home represents a fresh start, a place to create memories, build traditions, and dream big.
“I sit and just stare in silence some days and can’t believe this is our home,” Alexis shared during the ceremony. “I’m filled with so many good emotions and gratitude, and a huge sense of pride having participated in the build itself.” – Alexis

Built with Love and Support
Construction on this 1,008-square-foot bungalow began on May 16, 2024, led by Project Manager Paul Weinmaster. The home features four bedrooms and a partially developed basement, providing a safe and stable environment for Alexis and her children.
