Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit thrift stores in Prince Albert, Regina, and Saskatoon where you can find affordable furniture, appliances, household goods, and building supplies. Every purchase not only helps you save money and discover unique items for your home, but also directly supports Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan’s work to build safe, affordable housing across the province.
ReStores are also an environmentally friendly shopping choice. By giving new life to donated and gently used items, we keep thousands of pounds of materials out of landfills each year. Shopping at Habitat ReStore means saving money, reducing waste, and supporting a nonprofit mission that strengthens communities.
Five volunteers from Winnipeg, Manitoba opened Habitat for Humanity’s first-ever ReStore in 1991. Today, there are over 100 Habitat ReStores across Canada and more than 1,000 worldwide, all raising funds to enable more families to partner with us and access affordable homeownership.
Every Habitat ReStore is different, offering a unique shopping experience for those looking to add something new to their homes. Can I place an item on hold?
We can hold item that you have purchased in the store until the end of the business day at 6:00 PM.
How does Habitat ReStore price items?
All items for sale in the store are priced starting at 50% of the manufacturers suggested retail price. Please keep in mind that we price our items at a discounted rate, but our proceeds go towards building homes for low-income
families in need of safe and affordable housing.
Are Habitat ReStore Prices negotiable?
All prices are as marked and not negotiable. However, items are constantly being reviewed and will be reduced in price if they aren’t selling after certain time periods.
How can I donate to Habitat ReStore and what items do you accept?
You can contact any one of our ReStores in your area by phone or you can book a free donation pick-up online. Our website has section under our ReStore page that outlines what items we accept or do not accept for donation.
Do I get a tax receipt for my donation?
Tax receipts are available upon request on all donations above $100.00.

How do I volunteer at a ReStore in Saskatchewan and what does the volunteer experience entail?
Habitat Saskatchewan currently has 3 ReStores which are in the following locations: Regina, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert.
Volunteering at the ReStore is a great way to give back to your community, help the environment, develop new skills, and gain hands-on experience in retail! Volunteer opportunities include customer service, stocking shelves, tidying the store, cleaning donations, building, and moving furniture, and testing donations.
We can accommodate individuals or groups of any size with customized tasks that best suit the physical abilities of your crew. We are a barrier-free workplace that can accommodate any physical limitations. Individuals or groups can volunteer for a few hours or a whole day.
