Habitat Saskatchewan at SCNC 2025

Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan is proud to be a partner of the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) 2025, an event that brings together over 500 competitors from across Canada to showcase their skills in more than 40 skilled trade and technology competitions. Held on May 29 and 30, 2025, at the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) District, this is the only national, multi-trade, and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country.

Why SCNC 2025 Matters

SCNC is more than just a competition—it’s a hub of inspiration, learning, and career exploration. With over 10,000 students expected to attend, the event provides young Canadians with hands-on experiences in skilled trades and technology fields. The event will feature exciting initiatives, including:

• The Skills Showcase – Featuring First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Skills
• The Empowering Women in Trades Initiative
• The Skills for Success Stage

These initiatives align perfectly with Habitat Saskatchewan’s mission to create meaningful opportunities for individuals and communities.

Habitat Saskatchewan’s Role

As a partner of SCNC 2025, we will be on-site with a booth, engaging with attendees and sharing insights about our organization.

At the end of the event, all finished products and leftover materials from the competition will be donated to the Habitat ReStore. These donations help us continue our work of providing affordable homeownership opportunities while ensuring that valuable materials are repurposed rather than wasted.
