What is a Habitat Saskatchewan Chapter?
Habitat Saskatchewan is the main hub for the province and is called an Affiliate, and works closely with Habitat Canada and other Affiliates Cross the Federation.
Chapters are an extension of Habitat Saskatchewan, and Habitat manages all provincial Chapters. Chapters are typically run in rural communities outside of Regina, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert. Each Chapter is run by its own Steering Committee, sub-committees independently, and volunteer-led.
The overall purpose of a Chapter’s activity is to promote the mission and vision of Habitat Saskatchewan within their geographic area; by helping us build homes, fundraising, connecting in the community and partnering with families in need of safe, decent, and affordable housing.
A Chapter must have the time to dedicate to this important initiative, and work as a team with Habitat Saskatchewan!
Through generous support from individuals, businesses, and community groups, and by the work done by volunteers in our Chapters, we can help families realize the dream of owning their own homes across the province.
